About VHZ
VHZ was founded on June 26, 1967 and has already existed for 55 years in 2022. The goal of VHZ is to promote volleyball as a sport and leisure activity, where sportsmanship and fun are paramount.
We are the volleyball club for Nieuw-Vennep and the surrounding area, for both recreational volleyball players and competitive players, for both young and old.
Mission
VHZ's mission is to promote volleyball in the Haarlemmermeer Zuid region and surrounding areas by practicing volleyball through training and playing matches at both competitive and recreational level.
VHZ stands for a healthy, involved and pleasant association. The association is a place where everyone can participate and feel at home and has the opportunity to develop themselves in multiple areas. The association achieves this because our core values performance, fun and connecting are of paramount importance.
Vision
VHZ believes that volleyball is much more than a game. It is a positive motivator for individuals and makes an important contribution to the development of youth and the Nieuw‐Vennep community as a whole. The benefits of volleyball go much further than just the health effects of physical exertion. Volleyball is good for character building, promotes self-knowledge and respect for others, develops friendships and a fair‐play mentality, and it strengthens the community by bringing people together.

Together: Performance is achieved with and for each other. Members are united and show team and club spirit.
Involved: Members feel involved and are prepared to commit themselves to the association. They want to help each other and the association. Volunteers are aware of their role as role models.
Open and honest: We strive for open and honest communication with everyone. And will always go to great lengths to provide each other with the best result (even if it is not always in our own interest).
